When Is The IBJJF World Championship This Year?
The IBJJF World Championship happens May 28th, 2026 through May 31st, 2026.The pre schedule for the event is;

- Juvenile blue and purple belts (all juveniles)

30 Years Of IBJJF Worlds
This year is a very special edition of the IBJJF World Championship, it marks the 30th edition of the Worlds. IBJJF has helped spread jiu-jitsu across the globe and stands as the premier organization for the sport in terms of prestige, participation, and professionalism. FloGrappling has been grateful and excited to be the streaming partner for the last ten+ years, with 2026 now marking our eleventh time airing the IBJJF World Championship.
How Do I Follow The World Championship?
To really follow all the action at IBJJF Worlds, you're going to need a few things;

Team Race At The IBJJF World Championship
While many of the races have been close and come down to those final few black belt days, Alliance and Atos have been able to secure every major team championship so far in 2026 (men's and women's respectively). Given how these fields look, watch out for both of them to stay toward the top - but AOJ is lurking and assembling an army that seems poised to push for both of those trophies. The juvenile ranks will also be a madhouse, with so many young, good athletes from so many teams that it is hard to predict who will be able to rise to the top.
