2026 ADCC Worlds brings together the top athletes in the world from various disciplines. Whether it’s BJJ, wrestling or even MMA veterans, submission fighting has the best of the best on the world stage.
There’s no better example of that than UFC fighters competing in ADCC Worlds. Throughout the history of the tournament, UFC veterans have taken the mat. Notable names such as Gilbert Burns Chael Sonnen and Mackenzie Dern have all participated in the competition.

At the 2026 World Championship, two more UFC veterans will compete for gold in Krakow, Poland. MMA fighters have been able to medal at ADCC Worlds for years. Will these two fighters make history?
Here are the two current UFC fighters competing at ADCC Poland 2026.
Mateusz Gamrot
Mateusz Gamrot has been in the UFC since 2020, with the lightweight veteran headlining numerous cards, fighting on pay-per-views, and solidifying himself among UFC fans.
Gamrot has competed at ADCC Worlds before, losing in the first round in both 2015 and 2019. In 2026, he’ll be competing in the 77kg division with the chance to medal for the first time in his submission grappling career.
The difference between 2015, 2019 and 2026? Gamrot will have his home crowd behind him. He’s largely considered the best current Polish fighter in MMA, but has never had the chance to headline a UFC card in Poland.
The 2026 ADCC World Championship is a homecoming for the fighting veteran, who will have the chance to shock his hometown fans en route to a possible medal.
Jakub Wiklacz
Jakub Wiklacz made his UFC debut against Patchy Mix, defeating him despite being a +250 underdog. He’ll have to overcome the odds again to medal at the 2026 ADCC Worlds.
Wiklacz accepted a late invitation to compete in the 66kg division in Poland, marking a long-awaited turn to ADCC action for the Polish fighter.
He competed in the ADCC Polish Cup in 2019 and 2021, where he finished with a goal and bronze medals. It’ll be a tall-task for the 29-year-old to overcome the odds against the best submission grapplers in the world.
