Ana Mayordomo delivered one of the most significant results of the 2026 ADCC World Championships on Sunday, submitting Mayssa Bastos in the women's -55kg bronze-medal match.

Mayordomo secured a mounted guillotine during overtime, forcing the tap and earning a place on the podium in Krakow.

Historic Finish Against Mayssa Bastos

The submission was notable beyond the bronze medal itself.

According to BJJ Heroes, Bastos had not been submitted since receiving her black belt in 2018. Mayordomo's victory therefore marked the first submission loss of Bastos' black-belt career.

Bastos entered the tournament as one of the most accomplished competitors in the field and had advanced to the semifinals before falling short of a championship-bout appearance.

Mayordomo Caps Breakout ADCC Run

The bronze medal capped an impressive tournament for Mayordomo, who advanced to the semifinals before eventually rebounding with a podium finish on the final day.

Her victory over Bastos added another major accomplishment to her ADCC campaign and delivered one of the most memorable submissions of the tournament.

For Bastos, the result ended a remarkable streak while underscoring the depth of competition in the women's -55kg division.
