Jon ‘Thor' Blank may be one of the dark horses in the eight-man 205lb tournament this weekend at KASAI Pro 5, but his opponents would be wise to not take him lightly.

Even a cursory review of Blank’s victories would reveal that he is a submission machine; target fixation is also of no relevance here, and Blank is equally satisfied with taking an arm, leg, or neck home with him.

As ADCC trials silver medalist and EBI combat jiu-jitsu veteran, Blank is a veteran of numerous professional grappling promotions and rulesets.  In fact, it could be argued that Blank got the call due to his stellar performance on the KASAI Pro 3 undercard where he submitted Renzo Gracie competitor Ryan Quinn with a  beautiful armbar. We're looking forward to Blank rbining his argessive style to the big leauges of KASAI where he'll take on the likes of ADCC Champ Felipe Pena, Craig Jones, and many more.
