Today marks yet another shakeup to the divisions at the 2019 ADCC Worlds as Romulo Barral pulls out of the -99kg division.

Latest ADCC Updates: Romulo Out At -99kg; Replacement Announced

Today marks yet another shakeup to the divisions at the 2019 ADCC Worlds as Romulo Barral pulls out of the -99kg division and to be replaced with 2015 ADCC Absolute Champion Claudio Calasans.

Calsans  is in at -99kg.

Calasans is a four-time ADCC veteran with three appearances in the weight divisions and a superfight with Andre Galvao at ADCC 2017. During his run to the absolute gold in 2015 he defeated athletes such as Joao Gabriel Rocha, Yuri Simoes, and Vinny Magalhaes.

This adds another legit contender to a deep 99kg division that includes Gordon Ryan, Keenan Cornelius, Vinny Magalhaes, Lucas “Hulk” Barbosa, Jackson Sousa, Dillon Danis, and Patrick Gaudio.
