Jiu-Jitsu & Coronavirus Update: Gyms Closed, Events Canceled

Here's what we know about how coronavirus is affecting jiu-jitsu in the USA and beyond, including which gyms are closed and which tournaments are canceled.

The novel coronavirus, aka COVID-19, was classified by the World Health Organization (WHO) on March 11 as a pandemic, meaning the virus has spread worldwide. There are over confirmed 1,200 cases in the USA.

Leagues including the NBA, NHL, MLS, and XFL have suspended their seasons, with the MLB, CFL, and NFL suspending their spring practices. NCAA Tournaments have been canceled.

This is a rapidly changing situation and we hope to update it as we receive more information.
