Standing on the top of the ADCC podium is one of the most prestigious accomplishments in modern martial arts. Few are honored enough to even earn their way into the tournament. Those who do will battle against the top one percent of grapplers worldwide to earn the title, ADCC Champion.
Xande Ribeiro has stood on the ADCC mats more than any other martial artist in history. Xande is a seven-time ADCC veteran and is a two-time 99KG champion. He first took gold in 2007 over Braulio Estima, and again in 2009 over Gerardi Rinaldi. Today, Xande proudly holds the record for the most ADCC matches in history, competing 42 times between 2003 and 2017. The only competitor to come close to his record is Andre Galvao who currently has 25 matches under his belt. Throughout his ADCC career, Xande has walked away with 30 victories, winning over 70 percent of all his matches.
