Craig Jones will face Pedro Marinho for the WNO light heavyweight title on Friday, January 21, 2022 in Dallas, TX.

Jones is one of the most seasoned WNO veterans in terms of total matches; he’s had four since October 2020. And he’s made the most of those matches. He has an average mat time of less than six minutes, with three submission victories and a decision win.

The leader of B-Team, Jones will be searching for a fourth submission victory on the WNO mats. Each of his previous three submissions have come via leg lock, and each of them in less than five minutes.

Jones is the no.2-ranked heavyweight, but will be defending his position at WNO against the no.3-ranked Marinho.

Gracie Barra's Marinho is a hard-nosed wrestler, a feared guillotine expert, and a recently-crowned black belt no-gi world champion.

In October 2021, in his rookie season as a black belt, Marinho won double gold at the IBJJF No-Gi World Championships, defeating standouts like Vagner Rocha, Victor Hugo, Adam Wardzinski  and Roberto "Cyborg" Abreu.

He’ll make his WNO debut against Jones in January, after a string of injuries kept him sidelined from the WNO mats in 2021. Both Jones and Marinho were originally scheduled to compete in the 185 lb weight class in September’s WNO Championship; but both men pulled out due to injury.
