After years of domination in the gi, two-time IBJJF World Champion Tainan Dalpra will be making his no-gi debut against Troy Russell at Tezos WNO 21: Marinho vs Lovato Jr.

Troy Russell is back at Tezos WNO and looking to build off an impressive win at WNO 18.

Though Troy Russell has been active on superfight stages across Texas and Oklahoma since 2017, the Lovato black belt’s breakout moment within professional jiu-jitsu was unequivocally at Tezos WNO 18 in May 2023. In beating middleweight journeyman Austin Oranday via heel hook from a leglock shootout, Russell did more than punctuate his Tezos WNO debut with an exciting submission victory; he punched his ticket to the biggest opportunity of his career so far, a Tezos WNO main card appearance against rising star, Andrew Tackett.

Who’s Next star and Tezos WNO veteran Andrew Tackett is set to return to the Tezos WNO mats in his hometown of Austin, TX on Thursday, August 10, where he’s scheduled to face rising welterweight talent Troy Russell to kick off the main card at Tezos WNO 19: Meregali vs Duarte presented by Fat Tire.
