Women's 125lb No-Gi Rankings
With Ffion announcing her next match will be at 135lbs against Cassia (great match), we think it's appropriate to finally move Ffion down in the 125lb rankings. Something has to be said for activity level and Ffion just isn't competing in this division often enough. 135lbs will sort itself in March but Ffion has dropped after ten months with no matches here.
The biggest question was what to do with Ana Mayordomo and Janette Gloger. Janette is very good, but has losses before this to consider as well (for example, to Reber at IBJJF No-Gi Worlds). Looking at the full picture, obviously Ana needs to move down but I don't think she should plummet - her overall record and results have been very strong. I also don't think Janette should jump her, but she does debut at 11th with the great run she went on.
Carol Brunacio moves into the rankings here. She's an IBJJF world finalist and ranked at 135lbs, so her win over fellow world medalist Mona Bailey is enough for us. We also include Liisi Vaht (our first ranked Estonian) and Cara Du Plessis after their runs at Trials. Cara has been impressive in multiple Trials and beat Baly by submission, and then Liisi submitted her so I think deserves the ranking spot.
Danielle Kelly was removed from a prior update mistakenly, she was re-included here.
