Three Questions From The Reigning Champ

It’s your third year in a row going for double gold at No-Gi pans – what keeps you coming back to this event? 

What keeps me coming back to compete at the Pan Nogi is the BIG APPLE. 

New York City is an epic place with great vibes and good environment and has a lot to offer. To fight for IBJJF Pan Nogi is a great privilege for me. I am looking forward to give everyone a good fight. 

Who are you looking forward to facing this weekend? 

I am looking forward to facing everyone in my division and absolute. Also, I am not looking for a specific fight, because I don’t like this attitude – I come to fight anyone. We have big names up there and I know it won’t be easy, but I am ready to perform as champion, winning or losing.

Main difference competing at IBJJF and ADCC style rules? Is one easier than the other?

In my humble opinion, there’s not easier competition when we’re talking about IBJJF or ADCC. There are rules is different to each other but doesn’t mean one is better than the other.
