The 77kg Mens black belt division was touted as one of the most intriguing brackets of the 2019 Abu Dhabi World Pro.

We had been predicting a potential final between Norway's Tommy Langaker and Australian Levi Jones-Leary in the weeks leading up to the Championship – a scenario that ended up only being half-correct; British athlete Oliver Lovell pulled off the stunning submission upset over Jones-Leary in the second round of the event and fought the rest of the way through the bracket to meet Langaker.

Langaker himself had a clean run to the final, and though he was unable to score any submissions, he looked dominant in every fight, and he's hungry to become the second ever Norwegian to win a black belt Abu Dhabi World Pro title.
