Professional jiu-jitsu event Fight To Win Pro have announced a series of blistering submission-only matches for their February 3 event in Los Angeles.

The main event will feature Edwin Najmi vs DJ Jackson going head to head in a gi match.

Najmi, who trains out of Gracie Barra in Northridge with Romulo Barral, California, will be the hometown favorite but faces a tough challenge in DJ Jackson who has been on a roll lately. Najmi took silver at the IBJJF World Championships and gold at Pans this year.

Jackson won a no-gi title fight at Fight To Win Pro 18, submitting John Combs with a choke. That followed a storming run at Grappling Pro Championship, where Jackson took home $10,000 by beating Lucas Hulk, Garry Tonon and PJ Barch back to back in the same event.

Jackson and Najmi will compete in a 10-minute submission only match in the gi.

Garry Tonon sub only vs Gabriel Arges

Also on the card is a no-gi match featuring Garry Tonon going up against Gabriel Arges

Tonon needs little introduction, as he is one of the most prolific and vocal no-gi competitors in the world. He was voted as one half of the best No-Gi Match of the Year in the FloGrappling Awards

Gabriel Arges was one of the breakout black belts of 2016, winning World Pro and going through to the finals of the Europeans and Worlds (with some truly gutsy performances along the way).

Arges is a brown belt no-gi world champion (as was Tonon). The Gracie Barra rep's friend and teammate Felipe Pena just beat Garry Tonon's protege and Renzo Gracie / Danaher Death Squad teammate Gordon Ryan, adding some extra spice to this particular match.

Tonon and Arges will compete under 10-minute submission only no-gi rules with heel hooks.

Agazarm vs Cooper, more TBA

Also on the card is a lightweight gi match between AJ Agazarm and Bill Cooper. This will be the first time they fought. Cooper is a SoCal native while AJ recently moved to LA, though these two never need a reason to put on a good show.

A heavyweight battle between ADCC veterans Joao Assis vs Jeff Monson backs up the action, with more matches TBA!
