In ADCC action over the weekend, Team New Wave had a great performance at the Dallas Open that saw them crown five champions in submission grappling action. The Danaher-led crew didn't have to travel far from their base in Austin, and the late addition of ADCC World Champion Giancarlo Bodoni strengthened what was already a strong squad that included gold medalists Bodoni, Helena Crevar, Oliver Taza, and siblings Luke & Hannah Griffith.

Luke was able to win double gold on the day, winning both the +100kg and open class, defeating ADCC veteran Elder Cruz in the finals of the absolute. Luke finished his day with all submission victories, with no fight officially hitting the points part of the bout. Jasmine Rocha, daughter of 3-time medalist Vagner Rocha and WNO veteran, also won double gold, winning both the -60kg bracket and open class - defeating the +70kg winner Bridget McEliece in the final.

Giancarlo Bodoni was a late addition to the tournament, but won in convincing fashion with two submissions in four victories. Oliver Taza was able to navigate a deep -83kg bracket, with wins over Jon Blank and John Combs (in a come-from-behind submission) for gold, in a bracket that also had WNO veteran Rene Souza and eventual bronze medalist Sam Kilmer.

All matches for the event are available now on FloGrappling, with full brackets available for every division.
