Gordon Ryan returned to the WNO stage and reminded the sport why he's the No.1-ranked No-Gi grappler in the world.

Ryan, who was sidelined for much of the year with an illness, used an armbar to beat Patrick Gaudio at Tezos WNO 20: Night of Champions. 

Ryan retained his WNO Heavyweight title. 

Ryan plans to compete again this year at WNO, just like he planned to win using an armbar. He predicted before the match he would win using the armbar, writing a note in a box that was later revealed to say "Armbar, that's the proper way to perform an armbar."
