ONE Championship lightweight grappling champion Kade Ruotolo is set to return to the mats on Jan. 28 in Tokyo Japan, where he will take on Norway's Tommy Langaker in a rematch from 2023.

Ruotolo successfully defended his title against Langaker on ONE Fight Night 11 in June 2023, his only match of the calendar year. It was a close match in which both athletes had their share of dangerous attacks.

Langaker is coming off of a pivotal milestone in his brief foray into no-gi competition, winning his first IBJJF no-gi world title in December. In 2022, Langaker won ADCC European Trials, advancing to the 77kg division of the ADCC World Championships, where he lost in the first round to PJ Barch.

Ruotolo won the 77kg division at ADCC 2022, submitting all four of his opponents and becoming the youngest ADCC champion in history.
