Nicky Ryan has withdrawn from his upcoming WNO 22 championship bout against Mica Galvão. Instead, his B-Team training partner Kenta Iwamoto will step in to replace Nicky and challenge Mica for his 170lb WNO Championship on February 9th in Costa Mesa, CA.

The original Nicky vs Mica match was announced at Tezos WNO 21, after Mica successfully defended his belt against Kody Steele in a match of the year contender. This match will mark Mica's second title defense after winning the belt at Tezos WNO 20: Night of Champions. Galvão is currently the no.1 welterweight and no.2 pound for pound athlete in FloGrappling's rankings.

Kenta Iwamoto is a 3-time ADCC Trials champion who most recently won the -77kg division at the first Asian & Oceanic Trials in late 2023. At the ADCC World Championships, he has had matches with stars like JT Torres and Paulo Miyao and currently stands as the #13 ranked welterweight on Earth.

Mica and Kenta will join the previously announced match of Ffion Davies vs Tubby Alequin as title matches for the February show. More matches, including title bouts, are expected to follow.
