"The Hillbilly Hammer" Jacob Couch will return to the WNO stage in Feb. 9th in Costa Mesa, California when he takes on Unity Jiu-Jitsu's Sebastian Rodriguez. We expect a serious scrap when these two hard-nosed competitors bring their action-packed styles to the mat for 15 minutes of pro middleweight grappling.

This will be Jacob Couch's first competition since winning the ADCC East Coast Trials in super impressive fashion, going seven for seven on submissions to take home gold and earn his invitation to the World Championships in 2024. Couch is currently ranked no.3 in the world at 185lbs and many expect him to be in serious contention at T-Mobile in August.

His opponent on Feb. 9 will be Sebastian Rodriguez, the Costa Rican black belt from Unity who put himself on the map by winning the 2022 IBJJF No-Gi Worlds at black belt. Sebastian is one of the most durable and aggressive athletes at the weight class, and is currently ranked 13th in the world.
