Nicky Ryan and JT Torres Set For Welterweight Super Fight At WNO 23

No-gi grappling stars JT Torres and Nicky Ryan are set to face off at WNO 23 in a welterweight clash. Both men have recently been invited to compete in the -77kg division at ADCC Worlds later this year, and both are ranked in the top-15 in the world at 170lbs. This will be the first meeting between the two grappling stars.

JT Torres is a 2-time ADCC World Champion and one of the best competitors of the generation, using razor-sharp strategy, strong wrestling, and heavy top pressure. Since transitioning into coaching he has had a ton of success as well, with athletes representing his Essential BJJ academy like Ffion Davies, Gabriel Sousa, and Rene Sousa. His most recent WNO match was a decision victory against Magid Hage.

Nicky Ryan is one of the most recognizable and popular young grapplers in the sport, especially notorious for his breadth & depth of technical knowledge in no-gi specific grappling. As one of the founders of The B-Team, Nicky is now also leading one of the biggest grappling gyms in the world as he continues competing himself. This will be his first match since defeating Rene Sousa by decision at WNO 19.
