An injury has forced a change to WNO's title fight, as Mica Galvao will be unable to defend his welterweight championship. Instead, challenger Tommy Langaker will take on ADCC West Coast Trials champion Andrew Tackett. This match is a meeting between 2024 ADCC Trials champions, with Tommy winning European Trials earlier this year. The two will meet at 185lbs for the short notice bout.

Tommy Langaker was set for a title fight against Mica, having earned the shot with wins at the IBJJF World No-Gi Championships and the ADCC Trials. The Norwegian grappler is known for his aggressive back takes, toughness & durability, and physical intensity. He is currently ranked #7 in the world at 170lbs.

This is Andrew Tackett's return to WNO after his most recent performance where he defeated PJ Barch but then had to withdraw from the WNO Championship finals against Mica. This match has huge implications in whoever will be next to face Mica as he heals up.

WNO 23 will feature six main card matches. Preliminary matches will be announced for the event soon.
