BJJ Stars 15 is just around the corner, sending some of the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athletes to São Paulo, Brazil, kicking off at 6 p.m. ET on April 26 and streaming on FloGrappling and the FloSports app.

The card is stacked with elite talent, featuring standout names like Mica Galvão, Adam Wardzinski, Gabi Pessanha, Tayane Porfirio and Diogo "Baby Shark" Reis.

Running in tandem with the IBJJF Brasileiros, BJJ Stars 15 will also feature a huge No-Gi Middleweight Grand Prix, where eight of the division’s best will battle it out for a grand prize of R$50,000.

Among the card's stacked matches, Meyram Maquine will take on Diogo Reis in a highly anticipated trilogy bout, with the featherweight champions tied 1-1 in matchup history.

Ries is a two-time Grand Slam winner in 2021, with more accolades in his career than even the most seasoned grapplers.

With a big match coming up for Baby Shark, and the Brasileiros to follow, here's three things to know about Diogo Reis.

1. Diogo 'Baby Shark' Reis Has A Dominant Record

Diogo Reis has competed professionally in 100 matches since 2020.

In those 100 matches, Baby Shark Reis has won 90, 30 of which were from submissions. On the flip side, he only has 10 losses, two of which have been from submissions. His total record is 90-10.

Interestingly enough, Reis' most recent loss was also his most recent match, where he lost by referee decision to Rerisson Gabriel at the IBJJF Pan Championships.

2. Diogo Reis' Nickname 'Baby Shark' Came From The Song By The Same Name

During the time that the "Baby Shark" song was recirculating its popularity online a few years ago, a friend of Reis' had jokingly called him by that name a few times.

As one can guess, the nickname would continue to stick, though at this point in time, is much more reflective of Reis' small stature, yet raw strength.

3. Baby Shark Will Compete At The IBJJF Brasileiros This Week

The next stop for Reis after BJJ Stars 15 won't be far, as the IBJJF Brasileiros begin on April 26 in São Paulo, Brazil.

While Reis will be competing on Saturday evening at BJJ Stars 15, he will have plenty of time to rest before he takes on the black belt bracket later next week.
