What's Happening In Jiu-Jitsu
-Kingsway purple belt Landon Elmore won EBI 25 with all submissions in regulation, only the fourth person to ever do that. He submitted world ranked grapplers and MMA fighters along the way and the nineteen-year-old is now world ranked in our latest rankings update. Read more here.
-PGF crowned a 155lb champion as well, with Jett Thompson navigating three matches to win the post-season bracket. Jett continues to have a breakout year and this is probably his most impressive showing yet. You can read more about the results from the finale here.
-BJJ Stars announced most of their GP and card, and it will include Gabriel Sousa, Meyram Maquine, and more. Unfortunately the head organizer Fepa Lopes announced Josh Cisneros & Ethan Crelinsten have had to withdraw, replacements to be named. Read more here.
-In a minor upset, Team Asia & Oceania beat Team South America 16-15 in the Polaris Squads event. They built up an early lead with small runs from Lucas Kanard, Kenta Iwamoto, and Igor Tanabe and edged it out late with some close decisions. Also on the card, Owen Livesey beat Tommy Langaker for the promotion's 205lb title. Read more here.

-Number-one ranked pound-for-pound female no-gi grappler Helena Crevar booked two more promotional title defenses; first she will face Ashley Greer in the main event of Pit Fighting Championship 2 on September 27th, then at Polaris 34 on November 1st she will face Sula Mae-Loewenthal who took a technical decision against Crevar earlier this year in a team event.

- European Champion Windson Torres won the heavyweight, beating brown belt World Champ Eduardo Alves in the finals
- Leandro Lima won a deep middleweight bracket, taking an injury walkover win in the finals against Gabriel Galvão
- Giovanna Carniero beat Pan champion Gisele Tavares in the finals at medium-heavy
- Lightweight Natália Zumba won double gold
-ADCC Louisville Open Highlights
- Tristan Sainz beat Max Hanson to win the 70kg advanced division
- 13-year-old Joslyn Molina won advanced double gold again
- PSF colored belt "Little" Jacob Bornemann won advanced 76kg
- Enrico Beltran won the advanced absolute with a buggy choke
- 14-year-old Bebé Junco won the -55kg advanced bracket
- No-Gi World Champ Lucas Montalvão won the advanced heavyweight bracket
What's Coming Up In BJJ
- September 20th: BJJ Stars 17 will be going down in Sao Paulo, Brazil with a -70kg GP and some fun super fights in the gi, including Rerisson Gabriel and Diego Sodré and Leo Ferreira vs Fellipe Andrew.
- September 20th: Ocean BJJ Pro Championship is happening again at -80kg and +80kg, with champions Tarik Hopstock and Luccas Lira in the mix the defend their titles.
- October 2nd: UFC BJJ 3 goes down in the pit in Las Vegas, NV, featuring promotional champ MIkey Musumeci facing Keven Carrasco and 155lb champ Carlos Henrique facing Matheus Gabriel.
- October 3rd: IBJJF No-Gi Pans is happening, one of their no-gi majors, and it returns to New York City after a 5-6 year hiatus. Stars like Helena Crevar and Elijah Dorsey are already locked in for the event.
- October 19th: Main Character Jiu-jitsu returns to Miami. These guys always deliver on a wild night of grappling, if you haven't seen the show yet check it out.
- WNO 24th: WNO makes its Pittsburgh debut! We will feature an eight-man open weight bracket with a big cash prize, and a few other key no-gi super fights.
