Jasmine Rocha captured the first ADCC world title of her career Sunday, submitting Anna Rodrigues in the women's -55kg final at the 2026 ADCC World Championships.

Rocha secured the finish in overtime after a tightly contested regulation period. The victory earned her ADCC gold in just her second appearance at the World Championships.
Rocha Breaks Through In Championship Match
The opening portion of the bout featured a tactical battle between the two finalists.
Rocha was the aggressor throughout regulation, repeatedly looking to initiate offense, while Rodrigues remained defensively sound and threatened with counter headlock attacks whenever opportunities arose.
Neither competitor was able to create separation before the match moved into overtime.
Overtime Sequence Leads To Submission
Early in overtime, Rodrigues was assessed two penalties, increasing the pressure to create offense.
Rocha capitalized on the opening, executing a go-behind to get behind Rodrigues and secure back control. From there, she immediately transitioned to a choke and forced the submission to seal the championship.
The finish completed an impressive tournament for Rocha, who reached the final with submission victories over Kanae Ikeda and Ana Mayordomo.

First ADCC Champion In The Rocha Family
The title represents a milestone moment for one of grappling's most recognizable families.
Rocha becomes the first member of her family to win ADCC gold. Her father, Vagner Rocha, earned multiple ADCC silver and bronze medals during his career before announcing his retirement following his quarterfinal appearance this weekend.
Her brother, Achilles Rocha, also competed at ADCC 2026 and finished fourth in the -99kg division.
Now, Jasmine Rocha has added a world championship to the family's accomplishments.
