We have our newest official invitation for the ADCC World Championships and it will be Victor Hugo of Six Blades Jiu-Jitsu making his return to the biggest stage in submission grappling. Victor is a two-time ADCC veteran (having advanced to the quarterfinals both times) and the reigning IBJJF World Absolute champion in the gi.

Scheduled to take place in Costa Mesa, CA, on Feb. 9,  WNO 22 is pulling out all the stops to bring about yet another memorable night of grappling for both athletes and fans. Leading the event's star-studded roster, the world champion Victor Hugo is in the final stretch of his preparations to face the two-time ADCC finalist Nick Rodriguez in the Main Event and will be ready to use the full might of his jiu-jitsu to try and neutralize Nicky Rod's dangerous wrestling.

Top heavyweight contenders Nick Rodriguez and Victor Hugo will meet in the main event of WNO 22: Rodriguez vs Hugo, streaming live from Costa Mesa, CA on Feb. 9. This will mark Rodriguez's first match as a black belt, and he is taking on one of the best in the world, 2023 IBJJF Worlds open class champion Hugo.

One of the busiest IBJJF weeks of the year is fast-approaching, when the organization heads to Las Vegas, NV for the Masters World Championships, Jiu-Jitsu Con, and the IBJJF Absolute Grand Prix. The GP currently has six of eight athletes announced for the $40,000 grand prize, with some of the biggest names in the sport taking the mats on September 1, including 2023 world champions Victor Hugo and Fellipe Andrew.
