Men's 170lb No-Gi Rankings
We have removed Kade Ruotolo because his last competition in BJJ was over one year ago. As soon as Kade books a match anywhere in no-gi, he will be factored back into the rankings. Mica (and Vagner, for that matter) is being extended a further grace period because the expectation is he will return to this weight at 2026 ADCC - so like we keep Bodoni at 195lbs to accurately reflect the upcoming season, we are keeping Mica here.
We also dropped Vagner for inactivity in the weight, while he's an ADCC finalist at -77kg his best wins in the field over the past few years are over #9 Elijah and #8 Jonnatas. That combined with not being at this weight between ADCC's makes it harder to justify having him so high for so long. PJ also hasn't been back down to 170lbs in a while but he's also a medalist so we'll keep him, and he has other results like the Polaris GP and WNO that help bolster his case at 170lbs.
Tarik wins Worlds and moves up to fourteenth here. What really helps him is outplacing Fabyrury, who he had a 1-1 record with. Bornemann takes an early loss at brown belt but his Trials run is still strong enough to keep him ranked. If he takes more losses without a good win, he'll naturally drop more.
Rankings do not reflect ADCC Open & 1-star IBJJF Open competition.
