Tainan Dalpra will return to no-gi competition soon after his successful debut at the end of 2023. This time, he'll face off with world-ranked contender & multiple-time ADCC Worlds veteran Oliver Taza at WNO 22.
The middleweightbout is scheduled for Feb. 9 in Costa Mesa, California - where Dalpra's, team Art of Jiu-Jitsu is located.

This will mark Dalpra's second no-gi match at black belt after his WNO debut & submission victory against Troy Russell at Tezos WNO 21 in early November. The two-time IBJJF World Champion has made his intentions clear - he wants to compete at the highest level of no-gi like ADCC and challenges like Taza are an important step up for him.
Taza is a staple in the no-gi competition scene, as the New Wave grappler stays busy at both 170 & 185. He is a multiple-time ADCC Trials champion, ADCC Worlds veteran, 2023 IBJJF Pan No-Gi Champion, and ranked #12 in the world at middleweight. He is exceptional at the lower body submissions and no-gi specific situations where Dalpra hasn't yet been tested.
Taza's most recent WNO appearance was against Sebastian Rodriguez, winning a close decision on short notice.
