The International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation Brazilian National Championship, or IBJJF Brasileiro 2026, took place over 10 days and featured nearly 8,000 athletes.
Because the time zone for São Paulo may be not have been convenient for some fans, or there simply was just be too much to follow during each of the long days of competition, we’ve got you covered right here with all the winners and a direct link to the results.
The action happened in five belt-based categories that were further divided by gender, age and weight, and at the Ginásio Poliesportivo José Correa (José Correa Multi-Sport Gymnasium) in Barueri, part of São Paulo, one of the sport’s most iconic venues.

IBJJF Brasileiro was the third of four major championships facilitated each year by the IBJJF, but this one was a little more special because it’s where athletes had the opportunity to complete the IBJJF Grand Slam.
This year, that included three familiar stars, who also happened to be defending champions at Brasileiro – Diego Pato (men’s light featherweight), Tainan Dalpra (men’s middleweight) and Gabi Pessanha (women’s super-heavyweight).
The category that attracted the most eyes during the event was the adult black belts, who took to the mats on Saturday and Sunday (May 2-3).

The competitors were placed into divisions based on their ages and belt colors – white, blue, purple, brown and black – and each category featured eight or nine weight classes. There also were Open/Absolute titles up for grabs.

About IBJJF Brasileiro
Brasileiro is one of a handful of top-tier events run by the IBJJF, and it first was held in 1996.
The first time women participated was 1998, and female champions have been crowned at each edition since 2000.
Through 2012, the prestigious competition was held in Rio de Janeiro, before moving to its current home in São Paulo.
