Two of the top pound-for-pound grapplers on Earth will face off when Dante Leon defends his 155lb championship against 145lb champion Diego "Pato" Oliveira on Feb. 9 at WNO 22 in Costa Mesa, CA. This will mark Dante's first title defense and Pato will be aiming to become a WNO two-division champion with the victory.

Dante Leon had a stellar 2023 that saw him win the WNO 155lb championship with a submission victory over Ethan Crelinsten, help captain Team Modolfo to AIGA gold, and win No-Gi Pans all the way up at super-heavyweight. The PSF powerhouse is currently the No.1 ranked 155lb grappler on Earth and No.4 pound-for-pound.

His opponent, Diego "Pato", had a pretty incredible 2023 himself. Pato won IBJJF world titles in both gi and no-gi, medaled at the Crown, and won the WNO featherweight championship with a submission over Diogo "Baby Shark" Reis. 2023 was the year of the duck and he has his sights set on becoming WNO's first champ-champ with a win here.
