It will all be going down on June 13th in Costa Mesa, CA, with some more major matchup announcements coming up soon - including another major championship clash.

BJJ Stars is back again and the biggest super fight series in Brazil has another great card packed full of some of jiu-jitsu's biggest stars. This card, BJJ Stars 14, will feature an 8-man featherweight grand prix that includes three former world champions and two separate title matches. It all goes down December 7th, live from São Paulo.

Fellipe Andrew has accepted a 2-year ban from USADA after an adverse testing result at the IBJJF Pan Championships earlier this year, according to a press release from the anti-doping organization late last week. According to USADA he tested positive for clomiphene and its metabolites, which can act as a hormonal regulator and is a common post-cycle therapy substance.

Brazil's biggest super fight organization is back, as BJJ Stars presents 'BJJ Stars 13: Vikings Edition' on Saturday, August 3rd at 6pm EST, live from São Paulo, Brazil. The card will feature a ton of great matchups between world-ranked opponents, headlined by 2024 IBJJF World Champion Mica Galvao facing 2015 ADCC World Champion & UFC veteran Davi Ramos in no-gi action.

The biggest jiu-jitsu show in Brazilian is returning in a few weeks as BJJ Stars has announced the full card for BJJ Stars 13: Vikings Edition. BJJ Stars is the biggest super fight organization currently operating in Brazil and their thirteenth edition continues their strong tradition of packed cards. This 'Vikings'-themed night will feature IBJJF & ADCC World Champions and be headlined by Mica Galvao facing ADCC Champion & UFC veteran Davi Ramos in no-gi.

The IBJJF will hold its inaugural premier event The Crown on Nov. 19, and it has filled the heavyweight division with a mix of World Champions and explosive up-and-coming black belts.

The IBJJF will be holding their inaugural premier tournament 'The Crown' this November, and divisions continue to fill up with invited athletes. The IBJJF is filling these brackets with black belts that have had success in the recent competition calendar, and who have succeeded with an exciting, fan-friendly style. With only six divisions being contested, we know all four competitors in the first men's heavyweight bracket, worth $15,000 in prize money to the champion.

One of the busiest IBJJF weeks of the year is fast-approaching, when the organization heads to Las Vegas, NV for the Masters World Championships, Jiu-Jitsu Con, and the IBJJF Absolute Grand Prix. The GP currently has six of eight athletes announced for the $40,000 grand prize, with some of the biggest names in the sport taking the mats on September 1, including 2023 world champions Victor Hugo and Fellipe Andrew.

The IBJJF calendar continues to roll on and this weekend the action will kick off in Phoenix, AZ. World-class athletes will be competing, staying sharp and getting competitive matches against tough opposition. The tournament isn't particularly big, but its proximity to Brazilian jiu-jitsu hotbeds like southern California and Austin, Texas makes it an ideal location for elite athletes to travel for a smaller event.

Every year in early July, Americans come together and celebrate the nation with fireworks. I am, of course, referring to IBJJF American Nationals and the dynamic grappling action it brings, as the tournament continues to gain momentum as one of the best mid-majors of the calendar.

Fellipe Andrew has been at the top of the gi competition world for a while. He has been ranked no.1 in the IBJJF rankings for four consecutive seasons. But despite achieving all of the major titles throughout his black belt career, he still lacked a true IBJJF Worlds title.
