In December 2017 we dropped a photo essay about an unknown team from Mt. Vernon, Illinois called Pedigo Submission Fighting. The images of the athletes living in the closed down laundromat fascinated the jiu-jitsu fans and this went on to be one of the most viewed articles in FloGrappling history at that time. The strawweight division quickly became the most exciting weight class in women's jiu-jitsu over the last year, and the matches at the WNO Championship only further cemented this division in that place.

WNO is all about putting on the most exciting matches possible, and the WNO Championship surely didn't disappoint. The lightweight divsion was absolutely bonkers, every match on the front side or the back side was insane and could have been the best match on a normal card.

Craig Jones and Tye Ruotolo will grapple on Friday April 30, but fans will be able to see big names such as Craig Jones, Tye Ruotolo, Rafael Lovato Jr. and Gilbert Burns exchange words across the table when they get together at the WNO: Craig Jones vs. Tye Ruotolo Press Conference. 

I made some drastic changes to the FloGrappling Official No-Gi Rankings this week, with the end result being three additional weight classes and a women's pound-for-pound ranking.

Keenan Cornelius will take to the stage at F2W 149 in Dallas, Texas, on Friday. He's matched up with Gabriel Almeida, after defeating Matheus Luna in his F2W debut last month. 

Between WNO, F2W, 3CG, and BJJ Stars, there has been an abundance of action in both gi and no-gi competition over the last couple of weeks. This, of course, leads to an inevitable shift in the rankings, as favorites fall and newcomers make their names knocking off established veterans.

UFC welterweight and middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre joined The King Ryan Show for its premiere episode, and it turned out just about as epic as you would expect with Gordon Ryan interviewing GSP.
